Ice(d) Scent Space Kit

This is a great idea and I really like the design compared to some discovery sets! Unfortunately the fragrances weren’t for me as they weren’t as fresh typ milk as I’ve have liked. I howver found my favourite seperately which is their Milk Ofchid which I love ❤️

Perfume is very personal so that must be kept in mind when reviewing this set

However, I REALLY enjoy the concept of having three different editions of each core perfume.

Unfortunately, Milk Expressive did not really last on my skin, but this could be to do with my personal skin chemistry.

Milk Bold smelt very much like crème caramel on my skin which was very beautiful but just not what I was looking for at this time.

However, Milk Personal is simply IMCREDIBLE!! It does not give me a headache and it lasts the longest of the three on my skin. It’s powdery and clean. It is the clean girl scent that I wanted.

I smelled Paper Expressive from a different sample kit and thought I loved it, but wanted to try the other forms of Paper. Wow, Paper Personal surprised me and I love it even more than Expressive. Despite the iso e super, I could smell this all day. I normally go anosmic to that particular note. I really appreciate the 2 ml sizes. This amount gave me time to fully experience the fragrance. Will certainly be coming back for a larger bottle.

I knew that the Gold line would be my favourite but couldnt quite decide which of the Scent Spaces to choose from. So glad I picked this set because now I know for sure. This set is great for blind-buying . (If you're wondering, I am in love with the Bold Scent space and that's the full size I'll be getting). I wish the code they provide for money off a full bottle would be redeemable on the 30mL, since not everyone wants to buy 100ml FBs. Even so, I'm glad they provide the option to redeem the cost of the discovery set on a full size!

I LOVED each scent and how bold or light they sit on me. I wear perfume for myself and to feel good. I like how small these are to just throw in my purse and take them with me on a little weekend getaway! I’m still in love with the expressive scent the most though. It’s a perfect balance between being a wallflower but also making an impact.

I must admit, what i love about these fragrances is how they are not mainstream. So I am hesitant to give an honest review on how fabulous they are!

Book personal for me is the best, but wish it lasted a little longer. It was gone after a couple of hours but I really enjoyed those hours.

The other 2 are quite masculine leaning, which i don't mind but I don't think it's too everyone's taste.

They last well and I love how I smell them in my clothes days later.

It's great to buy the test kits as it's a personal choice how loud one likes.

But I would certainly wear them all!! Love commodity

Velvet Personal, Velvet Expressive, and Velvet Bold share a gourmand‑amber DNA built around toasted almond, rose petals, and vanilla, while Maison Margiela’s By the Fireplace takes that sweetness into a smoky, spicy territory. The resemblance is clearest in Velvet Expressive, which mirrors the cozy chestnut‑vanilla warmth of By the Fireplace but without the smoke. Velvet Personal softens the formula with coconut water and skin musk, making it intimate and clean. Velvet Bold intensifies with saffron, patchouli, and labdanum, adding depth and spice. By the Fireplace, however, layers clove, pink pepper, guaiac wood, and juniper over chestnut and vanilla, creating the illusion of a crackling fire. In short: Velvet Expressive feels like the friendly echo of By the Fireplace, Velvet Personal the tender skin‑close version, Velvet Bold the darker, spiced interpretation, and By the Fireplace the smoky, resinous original.

Rose perfumes can often smell dated, but rest assured, Velvet is no way reminiscent of what your grandmother would wear. All three scent spaces are modern, complex scents; different but with similar DNA.

Personal: Spicy opening of clove, followed by vanilla and rose with an amber and musk finish. Didn’t detect almond. Good longevity, limited projection. Magnificent skin scent.

Expressive: Less delicate than Personal, less complex than bold. Personally I felt it was stuck in halfway house. It wasn’t unpleasant, it just lacked what made the other scent spaces special.

Bold: A masterpiece. Smoky, woody, floral and amber. Perfectly balanced, intriguingly complex. A scent which is perfect for winter nights out. Strong projection and longevity.

The Scent Space discovery scent is beautifully packaged and represents good value for money.

I have a sensitive nose and find that strong smells give me a headache. I love the concept of having the + & - versions on offer here.

The Juicy was too strong for me. The scent was lovely, fruity and floral, and lasted all day.

I prefer the Juicy - as it's a little more delicate. It still lasted the day.

I haven't tried juicy + though.

Commodity Juice is bright, juicy, and playful—like biting into glossy fruit with a ton of floral rose around it. It’s sweet without being syrupy and without trying too hard. Easy to wear, crowd-pleasing for the floral lovers, and very “clean girl” with a flirty edge. This also sticks to clothes for hours!
